Heal in India

The Indian government is committed to establishing India as the foremost global hub for Medical and Wellness Tourism. Through the “Heal in India” initiative, the nation extends an invitation to the world to seek healing in India, guided by the principles of ‘Seva’ (service) and ‘Atithi Devo Bhava’ (the guest is God) on a mission-oriented approach.

As part of the “Heal in India” initiative, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), India, has introduced the Medical Value Travel Digital Portal. This portal aims to facilitate the visit of foreign patients seeking treatment in India. Medical Value Travel encompasses activities related to the travel and hosting of foreign tourists who stay at least one night in the destination region with the purpose of maintaining, improving, or restoring health through medical intervention.
